WristPing · Heart-rate workouts on your wrist
WristPing pairs with a compatible Bluetooth heart-rate wearable to run live heart-rate workouts, log your sets, and save everything to Apple Health. Here are answers to the most common questions. If you don't find what you need, email us — we read every message.
How do I connect my heart-rate strap?
Put on your strap so it can read your heart rate, open WristPing, and it will scan for nearby Bluetooth heart-rate devices. Tap your device to connect. Once paired, WristPing remembers it for next time.
Which devices work with WristPing?
Any standard Bluetooth Low Energy heart-rate monitor that broadcasts the standard heart-rate service, including the Helio strap and most chest and arm straps.
Why does WristPing ask for Apple Health access?
With your permission, WristPing reads your date of birth, biological sex, weight, and height to estimate calories more accurately, and writes your finished workouts, heart rate, and active energy back to Health. You can use the App without granting Health access — calorie estimates just fall back to sensible defaults.
My heart rate isn't showing up.
Make sure the strap is worn snugly and is not connected to another app at the same time (Bluetooth heart-rate straps pair with one app at a time). Toggle Bluetooth off and on, then reopen WristPing.
Are the calorie numbers accurate?
WristPing estimates calories from your live heart rate and your Health profile using established heart-rate formulas, adjusted for resistance training. Estimates improve when your age, sex, weight, and height are available in Apple Health.
Where is my data stored?
On your device and in Apple Health. WristPing has no account and no servers, and never sends your data anywhere. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual workouts in the App, revoke Health access in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health, or delete the App to remove its local data.
